Give Through Your Donor-Advised Fund
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is one of the simplest and most tax-efficient ways to support the center. If you hold a DAF with Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, BNY Mellon, or your community foundation, you can recommend a grant in minutes.
Is my DAF gift tax-deductible?
You received your tax deduction when you originally contributed to your DAF. Grants from your DAF to the center are not separately tax-deductible, but they are fully acknowledged and recognized.
Can I designate my gift to a specific program?
Yes. You may specify a campaign pillar (Land, Construction, Equipment, Staffing, or Scholarships) or direct your gift to the area of greatest need.
What is a Letter of Intent?
A non-binding expression of your plan to recommend grants from your DAF over multiple years. It helps the center plan its capital campaign timeline and is not a legally enforceable pledge.

The Statia Community Wellness Scholarship
On an island of fewer than 4,000 residents, every family’s health matters. The scholarship ensures terrain-based wellness care, health education, and preventive services remain accessible to all — regardless of income.
Your scholarship gift funds the center’s sliding-scale fee program, which adjusts patient fees based on household income and family size. No one is turned away. No one carries shame for what they cannot pay. Every patient walks through the same door, receives the same quality of care, and leaves with the same dignity.
